We are three sisters (two by blood, one by heart) from Santa Marta, Colombia, raised with an unbreakable bond.
Growing up we met on Sundays in Playa Blanca. Later on, Saturdays in Inca Inca felt like a ritual. Nowadays, our favorite encounter will always be in Santa Marta. Especially if it involves a long weekend at the Tayrona, patacones and a few Costeñitas.
We are totally different but exactly the same, and Mar de Cumbia reflects the unity of what we are together. It arises from our childhood nostalgia and embraces coastal easy-living, the one our parents are so reminiscent about. The one we’ve had the fortune to experience through their eyes.
Mar de Cumbia is an invitation to enjoy the sea as we did before. To play in the sand, to jump off cliffs (if safe), to chase the sun until new freckles appear, to dance from dusk to dawn, to spend long nights star watching. Dive, run, go with the flow, explore, water ski, skinny dip, feel salty, find your groove. And always, go back to your roots.
